Recent immigrants encounter substantial challenges when attempting to obtain healthcare, including linguistic problems, a scarcity of providers who are culturally knowledgeable, unfamiliarity with the public health system, and absence of health insurance coverage. CCR annually aids refugees in obtaining crucial healthcare and medical services. A significant number of African immigrants currently require immediate medical attention as a result of limited healthcare accessibility that may have originated in their home country. Upon arrival in the United States, individuals of this nature continue to face a significant likelihood of experiencing health difficulties as a result of inadequate finances, unavailability of testing, and a lack of access to preventive healthcare. Our aim is focused on equipping this marginalized and inaccessible group with the necessary resources to get healthcare. Physical and mental health are essential prerequisites for achieving success in education and career. CCR aims to address the lack of healthcare services for African immigrants by providing comprehensive health programs that are tailored to their cultural and language needs, with the goal of reaching the most marginalized members of our community. Our programs aim to tackle health inequalities, optimize immigrants' access to healthcare, and guarantee that all immigrants and refugees can avail themselves of healthcare services and receive assistance in navigating the healthcare system. We accomplish this by implementing a community-centered care approach, which is spearheaded by peer-community health workers fluent in Somali, Arabic, Kiswahili, and various other African languages.
